Boxing for Personal Fitness
At Flames Fitness we incorporate boxing
drills into many of the programs we write.
We understand that boxing isn't for everyone.
If you don't want it in your program,
discuss this with the trainer at the time
of your first assessment.
Why boxing?
Boxing is a varied and complex sport
that utilises nearly all the muscles of
the body. It involves speed, strength,
agility and coordination, as well as endurance
and stamina.
Will I get hit?
Boxing may not be the sport that everyone
can see themselves competing in, but the
training and skills of boxing are second
to none when it comes to general conditioning
of the body. You dont even need
to exchange blows with anyone to get most
of the benefits boxing has to offer.
What do I need to bring?
All the necessary equipment is supplied
by Flames Fitness for basic training but
we do recommend that participants get
their own hand wraps and gloves to avoid
sharing sweat with others.
Competitive boxing
If you find that you really like boxing
you may want to take it to the next step
and train for amateur
boxing.
