Flexibility
Flexibility and mobility of joints is
one thing we generally lose as we get
older because of the amount of scar tissue
that we accumulate in muscle over the
years. This scar tissue sees muscles and
tendons shorten and we become far more
susceptible to injury.
Stretching and
full range of movement exercise is a great
way to break down and stop the formation
of the scar tissue, and to help us remain
mobile and injury free. It is therefore
crucial that flexibility training be included
in everyone's daily routine. It is also beneficial to add massage
into your routine especially when getting started as this will
promote the breaking up of scar tissue, increase circulation and
promote healing.
