Our innovative approach ensures that you get maximum time with a professional fitness coach without the price tag. We provide one trainer for every five members in the gym, but your workout session is not with a group. Instead, your trainer works with you according to your personal program, providing advice on technique and supervising your progress so you get the safest, most effective workout. While you are resting between stations and/or sets, the trainer can work with others, ensuring you get the full benefit of a trainer when and where you need it.
Our Fitness Coaches are all skilled and qualified to help you achieve your goals. We pride ourselves on hiring only the most professional and knowledgeable trainers who bring a passion for fitness to every client interaction. With a breadth and depth of experience in exercises of all descriptions, we cater for a variety of needs including injury rehabilitation, strength training, fat loss, flexibility and much more.
Our personal trainers develop custom workout programs for you, building them around your body’s needs so you can achieve your specific goals.
Both program #1 and #2 include a goal setting session. At your initial 1 hour appointment, you will establish some firm short and long-term goals in writing that will help to add perspective and direction, allowing our trainer to create the program that best suits you.
We will then conduct a series of tests to use as benchmarks for your results. Depending on the package you choose, the assessment takes approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour.
A program is then developed that targets your specific needs, whether they be enhancing strength or losing weight. Your program stays on file at Flames fitness so modifications can easily be made as you improve and your needs change.
Depending on your needs, a personal program could be developed that may comprise a mix of cardiovascular and resistance training, with a view to increasing your strength, endurance and flexibility. Your nutritional requirements will be discussed and taken into account and dietary recommendations made.
Depending on your goals, boxing circuits may also be included in your program.
Our personal fitness Sessions are organised on a booking basis, allowing you to receive the training you need at a time that’s convenient to you.
This serves two purposes. The first is to ensure there is enough room in the gym so that each client can receive the attention they deserve. The second is to get you to commit to training regularly. If you do not show up then expect a gently encouraging phone call from our trainer. We want you to achieve what you set out to, and we don’t mind if this means that we have to be on your case!
Here’s how we keep you motivated:
Your fitness coach will work with you during your session, providing encouragement and challenge when its needed. We will adjust your weights and/or increase the intensity of your cardio sessions as we see you progressing and getting fitter. If you miss sessions we will phone you to get you in, because we know how important consistency is not just to achieving fitness goals but to creating a healthier lifestyle. If you’ve had a long break from your program (for example, more than three days) we will phone you to find out when you can next come in. To ensure that you’re always challenged in your workout, our Fat loss, Rehab and Strength/fitness packages provide progress checks at regular intervals. This way we can let you know how close you are to achieving your goals. It also allows us to adjust your program if necessary.
